Scarface

Oh boy! Little Grace decided last week to scratch herself when she was mad. Much of it has healed, but it sure made her mom sad for her. : ( I am now cutting her nails every other day.

In the pumpkin patch

This weekend we went to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch. Finally some nice weather to do this fun stuff. We got our pumpkin and some caramel apples too!!

Ten Years

Wow, hard to believe that my dad has been gone for 10 years. It seems hard to imagine and crazy to think of how much has changed in those years. I think he would have loved being a grandpa to little Grace. He would have definitely spoiled her and taught her many "lessons" that I learned while growing up. I've watch my uncles become grandfathers for the first time, and over again I watch their glowing faces shine at the thought of these little ones that now call them "Grandpa". I can see a little of dad in each of them when I see them with their grandkids. I wish I could see dad's face light up - I'm sure it would be very bright. On Grace's baptismal weekend it rained and at the end of the rain there was a rainbow. Maybe it was from dad...at least that's what I told my Grace. : )

Love you Dad and remembering you today and always!!

Fall Pictures

We got outside for some fall pictures the other day...40+ degrees, but we did it!

That's my girl!

Checking out Brian Williams on the news
Gracie in control

Well, our little girl will get a glimpse of that t.v. when she can and YES, I am guilty of this pleasure as well. We thought it was pretty funny when we sat her down in front of the news the other night and she looked up like she was taking in Brian Williams just like mom.

Baptism

Grace celebrated her baptism this past weekend!

Monumental Mommy Moments

I had two very monumental mommy moments this past week.

1. I cut Gracie's fingernails --- this took a ton of courage on my part and hers.

2. Grace slept through the night for the first time!!! I can only hope that this continues or at least she gives me one more night of this in the future.
